Our beautiful Kebun

(In honour to our dear brother, yob, cg Ahmad Zulkifli Md Diah)

How it started

It was our father's. He bought the land, 4 acres in all n started to cultivate it.
He grew banana trees, durian n rubber trees. Everyday after work, he will stay in the kebun until maghrib. We followed too. it was fun. Since young, this kebun was our life.

( Somehow after several years, my late father discovered that the land he was working on was not his. A buyer wanted to buy the piece of land infront of our father's. At the land office, they discovered that it was my father's. So my father had to let go of his cultivated land to the real owner ( But this new land is much bigger)

Then in 1978, my father moved to ipoh for some reasons. He had a stroke in 1980. From then on, the kebun was left unattended. Since it was a good land, every seeds n trees started to grow freely. In the end, we couldnt recognise our kebun anymore. It became a hutan, a secondary forest.
i was  sad to see all my father's efforts wasted n i believe none of us will go back to usaha the land.

Then a miracle happened.
In 1995 (17 years later)..
OUR YOB CAME BACK N STARTED TO NURTURE OUR KEBUN.

He was teaching in Taiping at that time. He was 50. He came back every weekend to clear the hutan n started to give life to the kebun again.

It was not easy. There were wild undergrowths n big trees, no access road, no water system, no electricity n hardly any people....

to be continued...
